Hearing Conservation
Work in a loud environment? Hearing conservation programs are implemented to prevent occupational hearing loss, preserve and protect remaining hearing, and equip workers with the knowledge and hearing protection devices necessary. According to OSHA, employers are required to measure noise levels, provide free annual hearing exams, hearing protection, and training (unless changes made to tools, equipment, and schedules result in worker noise exposure levels that are less than 85 dBA-TWA).
If your company requires a hearing conservation program according to OSHA’s guidelines, we are CAOHC certified to provide annual audiometric screening and have an Audiologist overseeing your company’s program as the Professional Supervisor. We are capable of coming on-site for bulk testing, or you can send new hires and annual tests to our office as well.
It is common for companies to utilize a traveling company annually for this testing. The problem faced with this, is inevitably some employees are on vacation, some have a cold at time of testing and require confirmation testing a week later. Unfortunately that traveling company is already 3 states away at their next client. With Aculas, you get the best of both worlds - we can perform your on-site testing and you have a local clinic you can send employees to.
Reach out with any questions, we’d love to make this part of your annual testing as easy and efficient as possible.

You don’t know what you don’t know, but we can clear that up for you.
As an employer, be informed about Sam’s knee injury from playing softball in college, or Nathan’s vertigo that he didn’t think was a big deal. While some conditions might not impede someone from doing their job, it’s good to have it on your radar to prevent issues and to have it documented as a baseline. Baselines are important if an injury happens at the workplace and rehabilitation is needed.

According to the National Safety Council, nearly 13,000 American workers are injured every day – that’s one every 7 seconds. We want to work with employees and employers to get that number down.
